  • 10g salt
  • 10g sugar
  • 7g active dry yeast
  • 300ml warm water
  • 500g minced beef
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 green peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. Activate yeast in warm water.
  3. Add yeast mixture to flour and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. While the dough rises, prepare the topping: In a bowl, combine minced beef, chopped onions, tomatoes, green peppers, garlic, tomato paste, red pepper paste, cumin, paprika, red pepper flakes, black pepper, parsley, and mint. Mix well.
  7. Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F).
  8. Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions.
  9. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each portion into a thin oval shape.
  10. Spread a generous layer of the meat mixture evenly over each dough base.
  11. Drizzle a little olive oil over the topping.
  12. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the topping is cooked through.
  13. Serve your homemade Turkish pizza hot.
