Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Flank Steak, sliced against the grain
  • 1 pound Shrimp, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil (or peanut/canola oil)
  • 1 cup Bell Pepper, any color
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 1 cup Green Onions, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add sliced flank steak and shrimp, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over high heat. Cook the marinated steak in a single layer for 2-3 minutes until browned. Set aside.
  3. Add another tablespoon of oil if needed. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  4. In the same skillet, add bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  6. Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together for 1 minute to heat through. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Customize with your favorite vegetables or sauces.
  • Ensure steak and shrimp are patted dry before marinating for best results.
