Description
Spiderweb Pizza Bites are a fun and easy Halloween snack. These cheesy bites feature a string cheese web and black olive spiders on a crispy base, perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls or 12 mini pitas
- 1/3 cup smooth pizza sauce
- 4 ounces string mozzarella cheese, pulled into thin strands
- 1/2 cup large black olives, halved
- Optional: Shredded mozzarella cheese for base
- Optional: Garlic powder or garlic butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350–400°F depending on your chosen base.
- If using crescent rolls, seal perforations and cut into 2–3 inch rounds. Place rounds or mini pitas on a baking sheet.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each base.
- Arrange string mozzarella strands in a starburst pattern, then add two concentric rings to create a web.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes for crescent rolls, or until cheese is melted and edges are golden. Adjust time for other bases.
- Cut olive halves into spider bodies and slice additional olive halves for legs. Place one body and legs on each bite.
- Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes to set the spider design.
- Let rest for 2 minutes before serving hot.
Notes
- For larger pizza bases, par-bake them before adding the web and spiders, finishing for 2–3 minutes.
- Keep sauce thin to prevent bleeding and maintain a crisp base.
- For parties, bake in batches and hold warm at 200°F for up to 15 minutes.
