Description

Create cute and spooky spider lollipops for Halloween. This easy DIY craft transforms regular lollipops into festive spider treats perfect for parties, trick-or-treating, or classroom activities. They are budget-friendly, kid-friendly, and add a touch of fun without being too scary.

Ingredients

  • Wrapped lollipops (like Tootsie Pops or Dum Dums)
  • Black pipe cleaners (4 per lollipop, for 8 legs)
  • Small googly eyes
  • Hot glue gun or craft glue
  • Optional: Mini bows, stickers, glitter glue for decoration

Instructions

  1. Cut each pipe cleaner in half to create spider legs. You will need 8 legs per spider lollipop.
  2. Wrap the pipe cleaner legs tightly around the lollipop stick, close to the base of the candy. Twist them to secure.
  3. Bend the pipe cleaner legs outward from the stick to create a spider leg appearance.
  4. Glue two small googly eyes onto the front of the lollipop candy. Allow the glue to dry completely.
  5. Add optional decorations like mini bows, stickers, or glitter glue for extra flair.
  6. Let all glue dry thoroughly before packaging or displaying your spider suckers.
  7. Repeat the process for each lollipop to make your Halloween spider treats.

Notes

  • For younger children, use craft glue instead of a hot glue gun.
  • Always use individually wrapped lollipops for hygiene and safety.
  • Pre-cutting the pipe cleaners can make the process easier and safer for kids.
  • Consider using colorful pipe cleaners to match your party theme.
  • Store finished spider candy in cellophane bags tied with ribbon for favors.
