These Red Bean Puff Pastries are a delightful treat with creamy filling and flaky pastry, perfect for dessert.

- 1 sheet Puff pastry
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Red bean paste
- 1 large Egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Defrost the puff pastry sheets as per the package instructions, which usually takes about 30 minutes.
- Whisk together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Divide one puff pastry sheet into 9 equal squares. On each square, smear about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese filling and add a tablespoon of red bean paste on top.
- Brush the edges of each pastry square with the whisked egg.
- Cover each filled pastry with another piece of puff pastry, pressing the edges together to seal.
- Cut slits in the top of each pastry for steam to escape during baking.
- Egg wash the tops of the pastries to achieve a golden finish.
- Bake them for 20-22 minutes, or until they turn a gorgeous golden brown.
- Cool the pastries for 5 minutes before serving.
