Irresistible Malibu Chicken That Will Wow Your Dinner Guests


Ingredients

  • 6 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 6 slices ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 12 cups fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Pound each chicken breast until thin.
  2. Heat vegetable oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with buttermilk and egg, and one with breadcrumbs and seasonings.
  4. Pat dry each chicken piece and dip in flour, then buttermilk mixture, and finally breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Fry the chicken in batches for approximately 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove and set on a plate lined with paper towels.
  7. Place cooked chicken on a baking sheet.
  8. Top each chicken piece with slices of Swiss cheese and ham.
  9. Bake at 350°F until cheese has melted, roughly 5 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  11. Mix mayonnaise and mustard for a dipping sauce.
