Description

A delightful Key Lime Pie Trifle that combines sweet and tart flavors in a refreshing layered dessert.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 limes (zest)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbl powdered sugar
  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup fresh whipped cream
  • 1 lime slice (for garnish)
  • extra zest (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, freshly squeezed lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. In another bowl, pour in the heavy cream and powdered sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to maintain volume.
  4. In a small bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter until well combined.
  5. Layer the graham cracker mixture at the bottom of a large glass bowl or individual cups, about one-third of the mixture.
  6. Spoon a layer of the lime cream mixture over the graham crackers, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  7. Repeat layering graham cracker and lime cream mixtures until all ingredients are used, finishing with lime cream on top.
  8. Top with fresh whipped cream, lime slices, and zest for garnish.
  9. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving.
