Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 600–700g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or butter)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly dredge in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F / 74°C). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, toast chopped pecans for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir often to prevent burning.
  4. Add vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, broth, and Dijon (if using). Stir well and simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer 2–3 minutes until fully glazed.
  6. Transfer to plates, spoon sauce and pecans over top, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
